Question: In this part of the universe alone, there
are already billions of sentient beings. Do Buddhas
and Bodhisattvas have the ability to manifest multiples forms simultaneously to
guide them
with the Dharma, including to, for example, Amituofo’s (Amitabha Buddha) Pure
Land, where progress to enlightenment is guaranteed?
Answer: Yes,
they can and they do! Being enlightened and liberated, all Buddhas and
Bodhisattvas are constantly doing their best with their boundless compassion and tireless energy for all
beings everywhere. Their assistance might not seem very obvious, but this is
only because of our currently heavy
spiritual defilements and negative karma, that make us fail to realise and
appreciate who or what are their manifestations, thus missing their
great efforts.
As such, the obviousness of their countless skilful means and
immeasurable blessings to help and awaken us are only more obvious when we
become more sincere, diligent and proficient Dharma practitioners. With more alignment to our
Buddha-nature, there will be purification of karmic obstacles, with easier and
clearer experience of their compassion. This is especially so for Nianfo practice
